Spring is Here

The weather is changing, the gardens are beginning to bloom, and it’s time to get your skin ready for the summer months. . The aim is to get skin looking as fresh and healthy as possible - think dewy, juicy, glowing skin.

Start with upping your intake of water - we need to hydrate inside and out. Step away from the comfort foods and re-introduce as much fresh fruit and veg as possible, all of which will boost your water intake.

If your skin is looking dull from the winter months, reintroduce exfoliating. You can do this by either manually exfoliating, or using active ingredients like Glycolic Acid and Vitamin A.  If you are using a manual exfoliator, once or twice a week is more than enough to scrub away the dry layers.

As the weather warms up, you’ll be more inclined to spend longer hours outside, exposing your skin to the elements. Now is the time to amp up your hydration levels, so select a serum with Vitamin C - which helps to even out skin tone and protect from external pollution.

If you’ve been a bit slack with your sunscreen over winter, it’s time to get back in to your daily routine. Apply in the morning, after your moisturiser. Reapply during the day, especially if you are going to be outside.
